The Global Jain app (the "Service") is a religious social-networking platform for the Jain community, operated by Nirved. By downloading, creating an account, or using the app, these terms automatically apply to you, so please read them carefully. By creating an account you confirm that you are 18 years or older (or have the consent and supervision of a parent/guardian) and that you agree to our Privacy Policy – including how we use and share your location – and to these Terms.

You are not allowed to copy or modify the app, any part of the app, or our trademarks in any way. You are not allowed to attempt to extract the source code of the app, translate it into other languages, or make derivative versions. The app, and all trademarks, copyright, database rights, and other intellectual property rights related to it, belong to Nirved.

Nirved is committed to making the app as useful and efficient as possible. For that reason, we reserve the right to make changes to the app, or to charge for its services, at any time and for any reason. We will never charge you for the app or its services without making it very clear exactly what you are paying for.

The Global Jain app stores and processes personal data that you provide to us, in order to provide the Service. It is your responsibility to keep your phone and access to the app secure. We recommend that you do not jailbreak or root your phone, as this could make your device vulnerable to malware, compromise its security features, and could mean the app does not work properly.

Acceptable Use & Community Guidelines

Global Jain is a respectful space for the Jain religious community. By using the Service you agree that you will not:

• post or share content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, obscene, defamatory, misleading or fraudulent, or that promotes spam;
• impersonate any person, Sant, Sangh or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation;
• harvest, scrape or collect other members’ information, or contact members for advertising, marketing or solicitation;
• use the Service for any purpose other than genuine community connection and the features it provides.

Content you post may be visible to other members and may be reviewed, moderated or approved by our administrators, who may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these guidelines. Sharing your mobile number with other members (for example in Vihaar or Chaturmas) is always optional and happens only with your explicit consent.

The app uses third-party services that declare their own terms and conditions, including Google Play Services, Google Maps/Places, and Firebase (for sign-in). You should be aware that certain functions of the app require an active internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data), and Nirved cannot take responsibility for the app not working at full functionality if you do not have connectivity.

If you use the app outside an area with Wi-Fi, the terms of your mobile network provider still apply, and you may be charged for data, including roaming charges. In using the app, you accept responsibility for any such charges. If you are not the bill payer for the device, we assume you have permission from the bill payer to use the app. Nirved cannot take responsibility for the way you use the app or for your device running out of battery.

Although we endeavour to keep the app updated and correct, we rely on third parties to provide some information, and Nirved accepts no liability for any loss, direct or indirect, you experience as a result of relying wholly on the app’s functionality.

At some point we may wish to update the app, and you may need to download updates to keep using it. We may also stop providing the app and terminate its use at any time without notice. Upon termination, the rights and licenses granted to you end and you must stop using the app and, if required, delete it from your device.

Changes to These Terms and Conditions

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page, so please review it periodically. These terms are effective as of 2026-07-12.
